Merriden: The Rising

Euthoria is a planet that exudes magic from its core. The four nations of Merriden live in symbiotic harmony with the land, channeling its magic purely. Arriving from beyond the sea, the Tuliboríbae boorishly corrupt the land they inhabit into harsh desert by sourcing its magic through blood sacrifice and dark ritual.

Laurel is happy in the life she has etched out among the Sgleanio, a race of secretive people isolating themselves from the encroaching outsiders. She has everything she needs: her loyal pouncer, a doting lover. Little does she know that her annual trip to Noactá for Festival will bereave her of her spurious tranquility, forcing her into a journey of self-revelation.

Brigid fell into a life of contentment on Mamo's farm, but all that is gone now. Mamo's deathbed confession uncovered a wound in Brigid's soul that she didn't know existed. Determined to fulfill her promise to Mamo and driven by an inexplicable desire for atonement, she embarks on a journey to find her memories and her destiny.

In a world where twin births remain only in legends, Laurel and Brigid should not exist, but they're not from this world. Suffering from retrograde amnesia caused by their arrival several years ago, the girls seek answers to their lost memories, each on her own path.
